Yam Desem
Yam desem, inspired by Ralph Moorman, definitely off the market.
To my disappointment, I have to make the announcement, that YAM desem 'inspired by Ralph Moorman' is no longer available from now on. In the current challenging market of gluten-free bread, it is unfortunately no longer feasible for this bread under YAM to meet my strict health requirements. Therefore, YAM and I have decided to part ways. This means that I am no longer the initiator and 'the healthy conscience' behind YAM desem with the well-known orange bag. I would like to thank YAM and all employees for the wonderful cooperation of no less than 10 years and wish them all a good future.
This dissolution of the partnership therefore means that I now face a considerable challenge. There is still no comparable alternative on the market in all these years and that is a very big miss in the gluten-free market. If you know me a little you know that I won't just leave it at that. I will pick up the gauntlet again and I am happy that I have now found new enthusiastic partners with a lot of experience in product development, marketing and retail. In the coming period, we will be talking to gluten-free producers who are not afraid of a challenge. Thus, we hope to come up with a gluten-free dough bread that is at least as healthy and tasty as possible as soon as possible. Fortunately, under our own label Ralph&Jane, we have developed the gluten-free Power Pancake Mix that can serve as the basis for healthy pancakes, muffins and bread. Our ambition is a broad product line under this label and we will do everything possible to add a gluten-free dough bread and a new generation of products that meet my strict health requirements this year.

"As a big retailer, you want to serve as many consumers as possible and so do the very conscious consumers who are looking for the healthiest alternative. Ralph talked enthusiastically about his developed healthiest bread and I was keen to sell it at Jumbo. By linking Ralph to the right baker, his delicious and healthiest bread could be further developed for large-scale production and Yam desem was ready to be rolled out to almost 600 Jumbo shops at the time. Thanks to Ralph's enthusiasm and know-how, combined with the right partners, we were not only able to delight the gluten-free customer, but also very much attract a new group of buyers, with very good sales results as a result. I am convinced that many more healthier alternative products can be produced on a larger scale if Ralph comes to the table with the right partners."
