The Friendship Sports Centre of 'Only Friends' is an out-of-control "clubhouse" at 652 Beemsterstraat in Amsterdam North. It is the only sports centre in Europe fully equipped for children and young people with disabilities. Two football pitches, a cinder track, a long jump arena, an extra-heated swimming pool, an adapted gym, sports hall and dojo. A top-class sports environment with more possibilities than they ever dreamed of. Sports, trial and error, free movement. Here, they can do everything. Recently there has even been a cooperation with AJAX.
At Only Friends, more than 600 children and young people with disabilities play sports. With a choice of 25 different sports given by specifically trained trainers, limitations turn into opportunities. No one here is different from others. That fraternises. Here they can have carefree fun, make friends and share everything. A place of their own where they can always go and be themselves.

Money should not be a reason for children and young people with disabilities not to play sports. But money is needed, to keep this special place open. With supporters and sponsors who stand for friendship and want to take the children and young people into their hearts. Wanting to ensure that their dreams become reality. Together turning limitations into opportunities. All children and young people with disabilities should be able to come to Only Friends.

Learning and working company
But there is more than just sports. Only Friends is also a learning-working company. Children and young people with disabilities also want to participate in society later on. To work like everyone else to build as independent an existence as possible. But because of their disadvantages, they need an extra springboard to enter the job market. Only Friends offers a safe and trusted environment with an extra helping hand to develop their unique talents. Because learning and working gives a sense of independence and self-esteem.
Every child should be able to play sports.
